About This Program
Colorado Wyoming Millwright and Machinery Erectors sponsors this non-union Millwright Apprenticeship program based in Denver, Colorado. This employer-sponsored, paid apprenticeship prepares individuals to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment in manufacturing plants, power stations, and other heavy industrial facilities.
The program is four years in length and includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training alongside 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices learn to align and install machinery, work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, perform precision measurements, weld and rig heavy equipment, and troubleshoot mechanical systems. Classroom instruction covers industrial mathematics, blueprint reading, lubrication systems, and safety standards specific to the millwright trade.
Graduates earn journeyman millwright credentials and are qualified to work across a wide range of industrial sectors in Colorado, Wyoming, and beyond. Apprentices receive wages throughout all four years of training, making this a compelling alternative to a traditional two- or four-year technical degree.
