SkillPlum is a directory of trade schools, vocational programs, and registered apprenticeships. We are not a lead generation service. We do not sell your personal information to schools, sponsors, or third parties.

- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and password. We use Supabase Authentication to securely manage your credentials.
- Reviews: If you submit a review, we store your rating, title, review text, and whether you indicated you attended the program. Reviews are associated with your user account.
- Saved searches and comparisons: If you save a search or comparison, we store that data in association with your account.
- Feedback:If you submit feedback via the “Report an Issue” form, we store the feedback text and optional email address you provide.
- Contact form: If you contact us, we receive your name, email, and message.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. These services collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/region). We do not use this data to identify individual users.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs.

Data Sources
The school, program, and apprenticeship data displayed on SkillPlum comes from public federal sources including IPEDS (U.S. Department of Education), College Scorecard, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the Department of Labor. We also use AI-generated descriptions to supplement this data. Data sources are clearly labeled on every page.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Account authentication is handled by Supabase with encrypted credentials. Our database uses row-level security policies. All connections use HTTPS encryption.
Your Rights
- Access and deletion: You can view your reviews and saved items in your dashboard. You can delete your reviews and saved items at any time.
- Account deletion: To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (maintaining your login session). Our analytics providers may set their own cookies. You can control cookie settings in your browser.
Children’s Privacy
SkillPlum is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
