Spanning three years, this time-based program includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices gain hands-on experience installing drywall on metal and wood framing systems in commercial and residential settings, cutting panels to fit complex layouts, and working with fire-rated and soundproof assemblies. Technical coursework covers construction safety, blueprint reading, building codes, and equipment operation. Apprentices are paid from the start of training.
