About This Program
Complete Construction Services Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical (The CEU Authority) offers a registered HVAC Technician apprenticeship in Oskaloosa, Iowa. This non-union, employer-sponsored program is affiliated with The CEU Authority and provides apprentices with paid, multi-trade exposure across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work — a combination that sets it apart from single-trade programs.
The four-year program includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices gain practical experience across HVAC installation, service, and repair, with additional context from plumbing and electrical systems that supports a deeper understanding of how building mechanical systems work together. HVAC technical coursework covers refrigeration principles, heating systems, electrical controls, airflow and ductwork, diagnostics, and EPA refrigerant certification requirements.
Graduates are prepared for journey-level HVAC work with a broader mechanical trades background than many of their peers. This multi-trade exposure through Complete Construction Services positions completers for versatile, long-term employment in the construction and skilled trades industries throughout south-central Iowa.
