About This Program
Craines Electric and Drywall sponsors this employer-based drywall installer apprenticeship program in Springdale, AR. This non-union program gives apprentices in northwest Arkansas a hands-on opportunity to develop professional drywall installation skills while working alongside experienced tradespeople and earning a wage.
The three-year, time-based program includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices learn to measure, cut, and fasten drywall panels to wall and ceiling frames in both residential and commercial settings. Additional skills include reading construction blueprints, working with metal stud framing, applying joint compound, and preparing surfaces for finishing. Technical instruction covers safety practices, tool use, and building codes relevant to drywall installation.
Graduates of this program are prepared to work independently as skilled drywall installers on a wide range of construction projects in the Springdale area and across the region. The employer-driven format ensures training is closely aligned with real-world job site expectations.
