JAC Sheetmetal Industry Norfolk – Local 100 sponsors this union sheet metal worker apprenticeship in Norfolk, VA. Affiliated with Local 100, this JATC program offers labor-backed, structured training for those entering the sheet metal trade in the Hampton Roads region.
This five-year apprenticeship is built on 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 640 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices are placed on union jobsites where they learn sheet metal fabrication, HVAC duct installation, industrial ventilation, and architectural metalwork. Classroom instruction covers blueprint reading, applied mathematics, welding, and safety standards. All apprentices receive pay from their first day in the program.
