Lake Charles Plumbers & Steamfitters sponsors a non-union, employer-based plumber/pipefitter apprenticeship in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The program gives apprentices the opportunity to earn a wage while receiving structured training in a region with strong industrial and construction activity along the Gulf Coast.
This time-based program lasts five years and includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of classroom instruction. Apprentices learn to install and maintain piping systems for plumbing, process steam, gas, and HVAC applications across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. Technical instruction covers pipe fabrication, applicable codes, system layout, safety protocols, and trade mathematics.
Upon completion, graduates are ready to work as journey-level plumbers and steamfitters.
