Ironworker at Multi-State Ironworkers JATC

The Multi-State Ironworkers JATC sponsors a registered union ironworker apprenticeship in Casper, WY. This JATC program serves apprentices across Wyoming and neighboring states, providing union-affiliated, employer-supported training in structural ironwork. As a paid apprenticeship, participants earn wages from the start while gaining the skills of a professional ironworker.

The program runs four years and includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training paired with 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices gain experience in structural steel erection, rebar and reinforcing iron installation, rigging, welding, and safety compliance on real construction projects. Classroom instruction covers blueprint reading, trade mathematics, load calculations, and ironworking fundamentals.
