About This Program
NOR CAL CARPENTERS TRAINING (NCCT) sponsors this registered carpenter apprenticeship based in Pleasanton, CA. This employer-sponsored, non-union program prepares apprentices for careers in the carpentry trade through a combination of paid on-the-job experience and structured classroom instruction in the Northern California market. Apprentices earn wages from the beginning of the program.
The program runs 4 years and is structured around 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices develop hands-on skills in rough framing, concrete forming, finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, and the use of industry-standard tools and equipment. Coursework covers blueprint reading, construction mathematics, California building codes, and jobsite safety.
Upon completion, graduates earn journey-level carpenter status and are equipped for work in residential, commercial, and industrial construction throughout the Bay Area and Northern California region.
