About This Program

The North Texas Electrical JATC offers a union electrician apprenticeship program in Grand Prairie, TX, serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. This IBEW-affiliated Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee program gives apprentices access to union-quality instruction and hands-on experience in one of the nation's fastest-growing construction markets — with pay from the very first day.

This five-year program combines 8,000 hours of on-the-job training with 576 hours of related technical instruction. Working alongside licensed journeymen, apprentices develop skills in commercial and industrial wiring, conduit systems, switchgear, load calculations, motor controls, and compliance with the National Electrical Code.
