Lineman at Northwest Lineman College - Power Delivery Program

Northwest Lineman College sponsors its Power Delivery Program as a registered lineman apprenticeship in Reynolds, GA. This non-union, training-provider-sponsored program brings NLC's curriculum and instruction to central Georgia, preparing apprentices for careers in electric power transmission and distribution. Apprentices are paid throughout the four-year program.

The apprenticeship includes 7,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of related technical instruction. The Power Delivery Program focuses on building comprehensive lineman competencies, including overhead and underground line construction, high-voltage safety, equipment operation, pole installation, conductor stringing, and transformer work. Technical instruction covers power delivery systems, electrical theory, and applicable safety regulations.

Graduates earn journeyman lineman status, equipping them for work with electric utilities, rural cooperatives, and electrical contractors throughout Georgia and the broader Southeast. Northwest Lineman College's established reputation in the industry supports graduates in connecting with employers across the country.
