Ramas Climate and Refrigeration, LLC, based in Livingston, NJ, sponsors this registered HVAC Technician apprenticeship. The non-union, employer-based program offers a four-year structured training path in the HVAC and refrigeration trades. Apprentices earn wages throughout training, giving them the ability to support themselves financially while developing a marketable, in-demand skill set.
The program is built around 8,000 hours of supervised on-the-job training complemented by 576 hours of related technical instruction. In the field, apprentices work with experienced technicians to install and service heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems across residential and commercial applications. Classroom instruction covers refrigeration and thermodynamic principles, electrical circuits and controls, duct and piping systems, diagnostic procedures, refrigerant certification, and safety compliance.
Apprentices who complete the program graduate as journey-level HVAC technicians with a registered credential recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor.
