About This Program
Renaissance Sheetmetal LLC in Cranston, Rhode Island sponsors this employer-based Sheet Metal Worker apprenticeship. This non-union, five-year program offers paid, hands-on training within a working sheet metal contracting environment, providing apprentices with consistent real-world experience from the start of their training.
Apprentices complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 640 hours of related technical instruction over the course of the program. Field work develops practical proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC duct installation, precision cutting and forming, and the installation of architectural metal products. Classroom instruction supports field learning with training in blueprint reading, welding, layout, applied mathematics, and safety standards.
Upon completing the apprenticeship, graduates are qualified Sheet Metal Workers with the documented experience and technical knowledge required for journeyman-level employment. Renaissance Sheetmetal LLC's active project environment ensures that apprentices build meaningful skills throughout their training that carry directly into their professional careers.
