Located near Houston, this training center offers individuals in the Gulf Coast region a structured, paid pathway into the carpentry trade through a combination of practical work experience and classroom education.
The four-year program includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices work under the guidance of experienced carpenters on construction sites in the Houston metro area, learning framing, concrete forming, finish work, and general building carpentry. Technical instruction addresses blueprint reading, construction math, building codes, material knowledge, and jobsite safety requirements.
