About This Program

The Desoto Group, LLC sponsors a registered electrical lineworker apprenticeship in Orlando, FL. This non-union, employer-sponsored program is designed to train individuals for careers in electric power line installation and maintenance, with apprentices working on real utility projects from the start. Participants earn wages throughout the full four years of training.

The program includes 7,000 hours of on-the-job training alongside 576 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices gain experience in overhead and underground distribution line construction, equipment operation, transformer and equipment installation, outage response, and adherence to utility safety standards.
