This non-union program provides a paid, structured training path for individuals in Chester County and the greater Philadelphia suburban area who want to build a career in HVAC and plumbing services. Apprentices earn a wage throughout the four-year program as they develop trade skills on the job.
The apprenticeship includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours of related technical instruction over four years. Apprentices work alongside Timothy Off's experienced technicians on residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing systems. Technical instruction addresses refrigeration principles, electrical controls, plumbing systems, system installation and service procedures, indoor air quality, and EPA refrigerant compliance requirements.
Upon completing the apprenticeship, graduates earn journey-level status as HVAC technicians. The dual exposure to HVAC and plumbing systems gives completers added versatility in the skilled trades, and the West Chester location provides access to a robust residential and commercial service market across southeastern Pennsylvania.
