Carpenter License Requirements in Minnesota

Minnesota does not require a statewide occupational license for carpenters. Residential contractors and remodelers must be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (https://www.dli.mn.gov), but individual carpenters as employees do not need a state license. Some cities may have local requirements.
