Chef License Requirements in Illinois

Illinois does not require a statewide occupational license for chefs or cooks. Food service is regulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health and local health departments, but no individual state-level chef license is mandated. Chicago and other municipalities may have local food handler requirements.
