Nurse License Requirements in New York

New York State Board of Nursing, under the Office of the Professions of the New York State Education Department, licenses LPNs and RNs. NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN required. New York is NOT a Nurse Licensure Compact member state; a New York-specific license is required. Triennial renewal; continuing education required. BSN-in-10 law requires RNs to obtain a BSN within 10 years of initial licensure.
