As a local of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, Local 512 administers registered apprenticeship training for ironworkers in the Bismarck-Mandan area and across North Dakota.
Apprenticeship training through IronWorkers Local 512 covers structural steel erection, reinforcing iron and rebar installation, rigging and signaling, ornamental ironwork, and metal decking. Apprentices complete a multi-year program combining on-the-job training hours with related classroom and technical instruction, culminating in journeyworker certification.
