Submarine Learning Center (SLC), SLC Headquarters

The Submarine Learning Center (SLC), SLC Headquarters is a military training facility located in Groton, Connecticut. The SLC is the primary learning and training organization for the United States Navy's submarine force, responsible for developing and delivering training for submariners across the Navy. It is not a civilian postsecondary institution and does not appear with standard enrollment or outcome data in IPEDS records.

The Submarine Learning Center conducts training in submarine operations, nuclear propulsion, warfare tactics, and related technical disciplines. Training is provided to active-duty Navy personnel and is not open to civilian enrollment. Credentials awarded are military certifications and qualifications rather than civilian postsecondary degrees.

Groton, Connecticut is home to Naval Submarine Base New London, the Navy's primary submarine base and the historic center of U.S. submarine training. The base and surrounding community have a long-standing connection to submarine warfare education and development.
