The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers District Council of West Virginia sponsors this non-union Mason Apprenticeship program based in White Hall, WV. This employer-sponsored apprenticeship provides a structured, paid pathway into the masonry trade for individuals interested in building a career in bricklaying, block work, and related crafts.
Over three years, apprentices complete 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Field training covers bricklaying, block installation, tuckpointing, and mortar mixing and application. Classroom hours address blueprint reading, construction mathematics, safety regulations, and masonry materials. Apprentices apply their classroom knowledge directly on job sites under the guidance of experienced masons.
