About This Program

Carolina Masonry and Concrete in Indian Trail, NC sponsors a registered non-union Mason apprenticeship for individuals seeking a paid, structured path into the masonry and concrete construction trades. Indian Trail sits in the greater Charlotte metro, one of the most active construction markets in the Southeast.

The program is three years in length and includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training combined with 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices receive hands-on training in masonry and concrete work, covering brick, block, and stone installation, mortar mixing, layout and measurement, cutting and fitting, and scaffold safety. Related classroom instruction covers safety standards, blueprint reading, trade math, and the properties of masonry and concrete materials used in construction.

Graduates complete the program with journey-level mason credentials, ready to work independently across a broad range of construction project types. The Charlotte-area construction market provides a strong employment base for journeyman masons, and Carolina Masonry and Concrete's dual focus on masonry and concrete gives completers a versatile skill set.
