About This Program
Cement Masons JATC, Cleveland LU 404 sponsors this union Mason apprenticeship in Cleveland, OH. As a Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) program, it is jointly managed by union and employer representatives to ensure apprentices receive industry-standard training from day one.
This three-year, time-based program includes 6,000 hours of paid on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices work alongside experienced journeymen on real job sites, learning to finish and level concrete floors, apply plaster and stucco, operate screeds and floats, and read construction plans. Classroom instruction reinforces the technical knowledge needed to meet trade standards.
Graduates earn journeyman cement mason status, a portable credential recognized across the construction industry. Union membership through Local 404 gives completers access to collectively bargained wages, benefits, and job referral systems throughout the Cleveland area and beyond.
