This employer-sponsored, time-based program is designed to train motivated individuals in the full range of masonry skills needed to work professionally in residential and commercial construction.

The apprenticeship lasts three years and combines 6,000 hours of paid on-the-job training with 432 hours of related technical instruction. Working alongside experienced masons, apprentices learn to lay brick, block, and stone, read construction drawings, mix and apply mortar, and complete concrete and plaster finishes. Classroom instruction covers trade fundamentals including safety, building codes, and material science.

Upon completion, apprentices graduate as journey-level masons prepared to work independently on a variety of masonry projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. This program provides a paid, structured path to a skilled trade credential without the cost of traditional schooling.
