About This Program
Mr. Roofing sponsors a registered Roofer Apprenticeship in Rome, GA. This non-union, employer-based program gives motivated individuals the opportunity to enter the roofing trade through a structured, paid apprenticeship with a local roofing contractor serving the Northwest Georgia region.
The apprenticeship spans three years and includes 4,000 hours of on-the-job training supported by 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices learn roofing installation, repair, and maintenance across residential and commercial project types. Skills developed include working with asphalt shingles, flat and low-slope roofing systems, flashing, and weatherproofing materials. Classroom instruction covers safety standards, roofing codes, and material selection.
Graduates complete training as journey-level roofers ready to perform skilled work independently. Rome and the surrounding Northwest Georgia area offer steady construction and renovation activity, giving graduates a practical foundation for local employment or opportunities to advance in the broader roofing trade.
