Over the course of 3 years, apprentices complete 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Hands-on training covers brick, block, and stone installation; concrete form work and finishing; mortar preparation and application; blueprint reading and site layout; and safe operation of trade tools and equipment. Classroom instruction addresses masonry and concrete fundamentals, trade math, materials science, and construction safety.
Graduates earn journey-level mason credentials and are prepared to work on a wide range of commercial and residential masonry and concrete projects.
