This 3-year apprenticeship includes 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Working alongside experienced masons, apprentices learn to lay brick, block, and stone; mix and apply mortar; read construction drawings; and adhere to jobsite safety requirements. Technical instruction reinforces these skills through coursework in trade math, materials, and building codes.
