About This Program
The Town of Mason sponsors this registered Mason apprenticeship program based in Mason, TN. This is a non-union, employer-supported program open to individuals looking to build a career in masonry construction. Apprentices are paid throughout their training, earning wages while developing hands-on trade skills from day one.
The program runs for three years and combines 6,000 hours of on-the-job training with 432 hours of related technical instruction. On the job, apprentices learn to lay brick, block, and stone; read blueprints; mix and apply mortar; and work safely on construction sites. Classroom instruction covers trade mathematics, material properties, structural principles, and industry safety standards.
