The Washington Cement Masons Apprenticeship Committee in Seattle, WA sponsors this registered non-union Mason apprenticeship focused on the cement masonry trade. This employer-backed program trains apprentices to work with concrete and cement materials on construction projects throughout the Seattle area and western Washington. Apprentices receive paid wages throughout the entire three-year program.
The apprenticeship involves 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 432 hours of related technical instruction. Apprentices develop skills in placing, finishing, and texturing concrete; setting screeds and forms; using hand and power tools; and applying safe work practices on construction sites.
